The Personal Digital Archiving 2019 conference was held at the University of Pittsburgh May 2-4, co-chaired by myself and Aisling Quigley. Having attended and presented at PDA in the past, it was deeply gratifying to bring it to our home institution and local community.
We were thrilled to feature Alexandra Dolan-Mescal and Linda Norris as keynote speakers. Their biographical statements, along with the full conference program, can be found on the PDA 2019 website.
In order to make conference content open and accessible, we offered discounted admission for first-time attendees and made all Saturday workshops free and open to the public. Workshop topics included managing personal privacy online, organizing digital photos, and archiving social media records. It is our sincere hope that this event was inclusive, accessible, and educational for all who were able to attend.
